How to perfectly attach a painting with an aluminum frame to the wall

A work of art with an aluminum luxury frame is not only a visual delight as it gives a floating effect, but it also provides a practical and easy way to mount it to the wall. With a few simple tools and careful attention, you can ensure that your artwork is presented perfectly. Here is a step-by-step guide to hanging a painting with an aluminum luxury frame.

Supplies:

  • Painting with aluminum luxury frame
  • 2 screws + plugs
  • Screwdriver or drill
  • Level
  • Measuring tape
  • Pencil

Different screws and plugs are required for different wall types.

Don't have a concrete wall? No problem:

For brick or sand-lime brick, also known as aerated concrete, you can use an impact drill and masonry drill.

Drywall, use a metal drill.

It is important to choose the right plugs: for a brick or sand-lime brick wall, expansion plugs are suitable, while plasterboard requires plasterboard plugs. When selecting plug size it is important to remember: the more weight the plug has to support, the larger it should be. If you are not sure what material the wall is made of, it is wise to seek advice.

Step 1: Choose the Right Location

Before you start hanging, determine the best location for your artwork. Consider the lighting, the overall aesthetic of the room and the viewing angle. Once decided, mark the intended position with a pencil at eye level.

Step 2: Measure and Mark

Measure the distance between the two suspension points on the back of the aluminum frame. Mark these distances on the wall, starting from the center of your previously marked spot. This ensures that your painting hangs in the center of the wall.

Step 3: Use spirit level

Place the spirit level on the wall and make sure the line is straight. This will help ensure that your painting does not hang crookedly. If necessary, adjust the markings until the level shows everything is even.

Step 4: Installing screws & plugs

Set the hammer drill to the hammer drill function by setting the red switch on the side to the hammer symbol. If you are using an impact drill, turn the arrow of the function switch to the hammer symbol. Then insert the drill straight into the device until you hear a click - then it is stuck. Adjust the size of the drill bit to the plug. To know how deep you need to drill, hold the drill bit next to the plug and mark with tape how far you need to drill.

Tip: Hang a plastic bag under the marking to collect the drilling dust.

Now we start drilling: Position the drill perpendicular to the drilling location. Apply light pressure to the tool as you begin to drill very slowly. Once you reach the depth mark, stop drilling and remove the drill bit from the surface.

Final step: Remove the drilling dust from the drill hole, place the plug in the hole and screw in the screw. Once you feel resistance, the plug will spread, allowing it to support the weight.

Step 5: Hanging the Painting

Now that you have the screws in place, simply hang the painting from the designated hanging points on the back of the aluminum luxury frame.

Step 6: Final Check

Use the spirit level again to check whether the painting hangs perfectly straight. Adjust if necessary by gently sliding the frame.

With these simple steps you can effortlessly attach your painting to the wall with an aluminum luxury frame. The combination of stylish design and easy mounting ensures that your work of art really shines and attracts the attention it deserves. Enjoy the admiring view of your perfectly hung painting and let the art be the centerpiece of your space.
